Explosion-proof concept

Explosion requirement

Ignition source: A large number of electrical instruments are used in the production process, and various kinds of friction sparks, mechanical wear sparks, electrostatic sparks, high temperature and so on are inevitable, especially when the instrument and electrical failure occur.

Objectively, many industrial sites meet the explosion conditions. When the mixture concentration of explosive substance and oxygen is within the explosion limit range, if there is an explosion source, an explosion will occur. Therefore, it is necessary to adopt explosion-proof.

Explosive substances: Many production sites will produce certain combustible substances. About two-thirds of underground coal mines have explosive materials; In the chemical industry, explosive substances exist in more than 80% of the production workshop area.

Oxygen: Oxygen in the air is everywhere.

(1) flammable air flammable dust: substances that can react with oxygen (air), including gases, liquids and solids. (Gas: hydrogen, acetylene, methane, etc.; Liquids: Alcohol, gasoline; Solids: dust, fiber dust, etc.)

(2) air or oxygen.

(3) source of ignition: including open flame, electrical spark, mechanical spark, electrostatic spark, high temperature, chemical reaction, light energy, etc.

Anti-explosion

The prevention of explosion must be considered from three necessary conditions, and limiting one of the necessary conditions will limit the generation of explosion.

In the industrial process, flammable and explosive occasions are usually dealt with from the following three aspects:

(1) Prevent or minimize the possibility of leakage of flammable substances;

(2) Do not use or minimize the use of electrical components that are easy to generate electric sparks;

(3) Adopt methods such as filling nitrogen to maintain the inert state.
